Specialized Consultative Services

FIRST provides specialized expertise, training and technical assistance to family members, support staff, and other supports for the purpose of ensuring that individuals with developmental disabilities who require long-term intervention have their needs met. With a team of experts, we can utilize a group to meet individual needs of the families we serve. As a provider for Smoky Mountain Center, we can provide our services through the Innovations Waiver or private pay.

Specialized Consultative Services

Our team will review your needs and create a plan that will give you the outcomes that you need to be more successful in the community. Members of the FIRST team will be identified as your core team, and will meet with you and design strategies and interventions to support you and your family and staff. Your family and staff will be trained to implement these strategies. After a few weeks, our team will come back to review and identify changes if needed. Our team does not leave until your family and staff is comfortable with the interventions.
